The SCBC Career & Pathways Expo is an amazing opportunity for families of our Community and College to engage with, and hear from, tertiary institutions and training providers such as; Curtin, UWA, Notre Dame, ECU, Murdoch, South Metro TAFE, Defence, and many more.

College staff will also be available to provide information and guidance on subject selection.

GYMNASTIC CENTRE OPENING

We are thrilled to announce the official opening of our state-of-the-art gymnastic centre! This facility will provide our SCBC students with the opportunity to reach their full gymnastic potential and compete in a variety of disciplines.

We can’t wait to see our students achieve great things as they train in this amazing space. Our dedicated coaches are excited to help each and every student reach their goals and develop their skills. We are proud to provide this new gymnastic centre to our SCBC community and look forward to seeing the incredible accomplishments that will come from it!

We would like to extend a special thank you to our Director of Gymnastics, Melissa Ellis, for her outstanding leadership and dedication in bringing this incredible gymnastic centre to life. Without her vision, hard work, and tireless efforts, this facility would not be possible.

FORESHORE CONCERT

On Friday, Week 8 Term 1, our Year 12 Vocal Academy & Cert III Music students performed their final Foreshore Concert at the beautiful Rockingham Lookout! We had an incredible turn out despite the threat of rain earlier in the afternoon. If you missed this one, you have one final chance to see our senior VA & Cert III Music students in action. Our annual SURGE concert is back in Week 8 of Term 2. More information to come.

Interschool Swimming Carnival

On Wednesday, 15th March, our best Secondary swimmers headed to HBF Stadium and competed in the ACC Interschool Swimming Carnival. With strong competition, our swimmers fought well to take out the H Division win.

A huge congratulations to our Junior Girls, Junior Boys, and Senior Girls who went to win their respective shields for the day.

Film Festival Awards

At the inaugural RHB ‘Rock the Boat’ Film Festival Awards, our Year 10 Screen and Media entry ‘The Lift’ won first prize in the Schools Category. The film went on to also win overall Best Story Category Award. The Year 10’s were represented by Lucy Power, one of the cast of ‘The Lift’.

Two of our Year 9 film entries also placed – Sienna De Kock ‘Shadow Dancer’ and Phoebe Martin ‘Dancing Symphony’ were there to collect their awards.

With our dedicated Film Production and Design Photography classes in Years 7-10, we look forward to telling more stories next year.
